First, we need to address a very important issue since we know it’s on the minds of each and every one of you…Yes, we will be getting both PROMETHEUS and MOONRISE KINGDOM very, very soon. Like June soon. Stay tuned. It’s all happening!

New ladies on the block…
The Juliette Binoche/NC 17 Elles opens on Friday. Oooolala.

Midnight insanity…
Wes Craven’s Hills Have Eyes (shown in 35mm) will make all your tense family vacations pale in comparison. Did we mention it’s a special 35mm presentation?! And…Beyond the Black Rainbow is back for another midnight weekend run.

Pee Wee’s Brunch Adventure…
Words cannot express how dearly excited we are to present quite possibly the best movie ever (or the best movie Tim Burton ever made at least), Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. A boy and his bike indeed.

Special Events…
Gothamist presents a very special presentation of Damsels in Distress featuring the director, Whit Stillman, for a Q-and-A on Tuesday.

What better way to gear up for Prometheus than by an awesome O.G. double-feature of the outer-space variety? We’ll be playing Mario Bava’s Planet of the Vampires and Scott’s Alien (VHS) in the lobby on Wednesday, June 6 starting at 7:30pm. Totally free.

Also in the lobby, we’re continuing down with the falling man playing Mad Men on Sundays.

VHS Vault…
VHS Vault goes Grindhouse in June and first up is the car-chasing fest that is Vanishing Point. Monday, June 4th in the upstairs lobby. Free as always. Starts at 8pm.
