NITEHAWK NEWS FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 3 2012

Get ready for a 35mm weekend at Nitehawk…

Our new monthly brunch series called Country Brunchin’ (the best of the south in film, food, and music) begins this weekend with Smokey and the Bandit. But before the movie starts, The Gentleman Callers will be playing some tunes to get you in the mood. Band starts at 11:30am, Film begins at 12:15pm.

Also for brunch this weekend is Woody Allen’s Love & Death, the first movie in our August Love, Life, Death August series. Side note of importance: it’s a BEAUTIFUL 35mm print.

For midnight it’s all about nihilism and robots animation-style with Transformers (1986) which launches our Animation Attacks! midnight program.

Also continuing at Nitehawk…
Beasts of the Southern Wild, Moonrise Kingdom (including midnights this weekend) and To Rome With Love. Next Friday we open Ruby Sparks!
