Nobody quite matches Quentin Tarantino’s enthusiasm for exploitation films, and of the countless amount of subversive seventies junk the director has taken in over the years, Jack Hill’s Switchblade Sisters clearly holds a special place in his heart. Back when he was running his own independent distribution label, Rolling Thunder Pictures, Tarantino filmed the DVD introduction for Rolling Thunder’s Switchblade Sisters DVD. He dramatically reads from the script, and talks about the film’s ability to win over ironic, chortling audience with its funny screenplay and depth of character. It’s a fun intro to a fun movie, so check it out before digging your eyes on the badass 35mm print our cinema department dug up.
