On Sept. 22 and 23, haute French dining magazine Le Fooding and Nitehawk came together as part of the magazine’s New York invading festival “Le Fooding Brooklyn Fling.” For “Darkness with a Chance of Piperade,” the magazine brought in Parisian chef Inaki Aizpitarte (Le Chateaubriand, Le Dauphin) and his team to work alongside Nitehawk’s chef Russell Dougherty to prepare a four course prix fixe menu that included contributions from BK institutions Mast Brothers chocolate, Empire Mayo, Salvatore BKLYN ricotta, and Early Bird granola.

Our cinema department matched this Brooklyn-based menu with a pair of appropriately Brooklyn-based movies, Saturday Night Fever and The Warriors.
