After our screening of William Lustig’s New York Shitty classic Vigilante, we invited the man himself and the film’s writer Richard Vetere down for a pretty kickass Q&A. Lustig doesn’t need much prompting to light up a room and drop anecdotes about his film. Over the Q&A he covers Americans’ fascination with crime-ridden New York, how 42nd Street inspired his films and even manages to get the film’s star, Robert Forster, on the phone to talk too.

The whole thing’s below. He gets Forster on the phone 8 minutes in.
