Now in its 11th edition, the Nitehawk Shorts Festival is the annual home for the independent short film community in New York.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2025 Nitehawk Shorts Festival!

This year seemed more difficult than ever to make selections based on the many strong submissions we received. There are several World Premieres, debuts by new filmmakers, as well as the return of some alumni with new outstanding work. As usual New York City will be well represented, and we are also proud to share that over half of the films are by women or non-binary people.
