At the edge of an unnamed city, two unemployed, directionless trans lesbians connect in a reality-shifting way. Indigo can communicate through a spiritual-emotional telepathy, which she shares with her new friend, Junebug.

Junebug is a wanderer who fantasizes about using a spell she’d learned while hopping trains, one that takes you to a place called Elsewhere. But Indigo isn’t sure if she wants to go; she feels trapped in her life, but she’s used to it. And, once you go to Elsewhere, you can’t come back.
