A forgotten action flick from the early ‘80s, this one comes snarling at audiences with blood between its teeth, reaching for their necks, looking to kill. Cop shows were big on TV at the time and one of the city’s most famous exploitation directors (who also shot the film) cashes in at the behest of his producers, delivering a grimy, gutter-level crawl through urban Hong Kong that leaves no survivors. Seething with high impact stunt work set in impossibly crowded cityscapes, outdoor markets and cluttered apartments, it’s a take-no-prisoners, no-hope scenario where the sun never rises and the only way out is to destroy everything in your path.
