One of the last films to be released theatrically by the notorious Cannon Films, American Cyborg: Steel Warrior is one of many Terminator–style rip-offs, with leather jackets, glowing red eyes, and a cyborg who absolutely refuses to stop walking toward you. Set in a future where humanity is on the brink and machines have feelings about it, this delivers exactly what it promises: steel fists, dramatic slow-motion action, and dialogue that sounds like it was programmed by a very intense computer.
The existence of a 35mm print of this movie is rather miraculous – don’t miss the chance to see it!

We kick off our February series THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT SAMUEL… with two films starring Samuel L. Jackson and one of the many actors he had undeniable chemistry with: Bruce Willis. After they were in Pulp Fiction together in 1994 (but shared no scenes), they starred in Die Hard with a Vengeance in 1995 and five years later, they would collaborate again in M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable.
This evening, we experience one of Hollywood’s most underrated pairings in both films back to back on 35mm and witness the two actors play vigilantes of different ilks in New York City and Philadelphia. Between the films we will have a special round of trivia hosted by your NPP Movie Trivia hosts Shay Filmore & Kevin Cecil!
There will be a 15 minute intermission between the two movies.
All tabs for the double feature will be pre-authorized with a temporary $25.00 charge pending on your account. Any checks left unsigned will incur an automatic gratuity charge of 20%.
