Struggling with addiction and overwhelmed by debt, Sarah (Hailley Lauren) takes over her childhood home in a Texas suburb. It’s a chance at a fresh start—or so she thinks. Before long, she realizes that there’s something wrong an eccentric neighbor, Sandy (Kelsey Pribilski), a woman around the same age who can’t shake the fact that Sarah resembles her dead mother. Sandy’s obsession leads to bloody corpses, Christmas-themed insanity and absurdist comedy in writer-director John Valley’s truly unhinged answer to everything from ’80s slashers to PSYCHO, anchored by a wonderfully deranged performance from Pribilski as Sandy. —Matt Barone
