This July, take a very American journey with The Deuce deep into the wilds of the Louisiana bayou in search of that ever-elusive CREATURE FROM BLACK LAKE… and less elusive hamburgers! Because if there’s something The Deuce does love, it’s celebrating the birth of our Nation – and what better way to celebrate our Nation’s “semiquincentennial” than with Bigfoot and burgers!

Yankee anthropology “student” pals, Pahoo and Rives, leave their Chicago city-lives behind for the boggy backwoods of (real town) Oil City, Louisiana in hopes of bagging the Bigfoot that’s rumored to be bounding around the bayous and bedeviling the bewitched locals… encountering a veritable grocery-list of familiar tropes that befall such buffoonish Big-City braggarts when barging into the boonies – with enough “Yankees” versus local yokels, taciturn old-timey trappers, and hillbilly hoedown/showdowns to satisfy any Sasquatch connoisseur! But even Bigfoot takes a back-seat to this dunderheaded duo’s quest to quench their thirst for burgers and red-blooded red-headed beauties!

And what of those brave souls who confronted this CREATURE FROM BLACK LAKE in 42nd Street’s Selwyn Theatre?? Well, they were not disappointed! Able as they were to easily satisfy the burning hunger for burgers evocatively evoked by the flim-flam of the fantastical film right off the lobby – in the connecting Grand Luncheonette… Sasquatch and satisfaction at last!
