The Deuce Dunces always say: 2 heads are better than 1 – especially since their 2 heads barely equal 1… And, upon putting their 2 heads together, have decided that THE MAN WITH 2 HEADS is 2nd to none and equals 2wice as much fun!! “Of what???” you ask? Of anyTHING with “two” heads – for 1!! For 2? Funner than anyMAN with “two” brains could even wrap his head around!!

And yet… were 1 to ask: “Does any man in this movie actually at any time physically display being 2-headed??” Well… “TBH”… NO!! Not 1 man – or any1, 4 that matter – ever has more than 1 head on his or their shoulders at any time seen, so… “Then for whyest dost the title boast of such?” 1 could rightfully ask… Ask away! Thine answer lieth within that archetypical Jekyll and Hyde schism of dualism – wherein – via a vein-full of “experimental evil extracting” fluid, the “good” (actually no where near so) doctor does a double-take turn as the deliriously diabolical “Mr. Blood”! 2urning turn-of-the-Century old Londontown upside down!! With death!! And deliriously diabolical doings! Murder! Mayhem! Yelling at people! Berating trollopes and bodice tearing!! And even more yelling at people!!

Sprung from the s1ngular mind of that ol’ Deuce-Devil, our fave 42nd Street freak Andy Milligan – this Mulligan Stew mix of Robert Louis Stevenson (albeit misspelled in the credits), Jack the Ripper… and some Burke and Hare stirred in – may be “considered” his “most coherent” (??!!??) made-for-little-to-nothing movie… but don’t let that worry you!! This hair-shirt “horror” is nothing if not completely off its 2 heads!! With a bevy of Master Milligan’s acting minions mincing and emoting in (impressively sustained by Milligan standards!) Period Costumed Performances! And did the befuddled few who witnessed such shenanigans spill across the Penthouse Theatre screen scream “false advertising” at the not-2-headed man?? Not when they had another Mishkin-“funded” Milligan mind-melter on the bill for their already broken 1 head to contend with!! Imagine if you will – that extinct Eden – that Penthouse Theatre Paradise lost – where 1nce 1 could at will willingly suffer thankfully a never-ending night with the likes of THE MAN WITH 2 HEADS… AND!!.. say… THE BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHERS!! All for 1 paltry price per 1 paltry head! Well… pray perhaps The Deuce will 1 day purloin Double Feature privileges… PARADISE REGAINED!!
