These unique works challenge, subvert, and twist the boundaries of independent cinema. A portion of ticket sales from Generation Queer will go to the Centro Comunitario LGBT de Puerto Rico.

Ondi Timoner is the only filmmaker to win the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance twice, for Dig! in 2004 and We Live in Public in 2009 (and both films are in the permanent collection of MoMA NY.) She is also internationally-acclaimed for the award-winning documentaries, The Nature of the Best, Join Us, Cool It and Brand: A second Coming about comedian/activist Russell Brand. In 2017, Ondi created the ten hour Viceland docu-series, Jungletown and directed her first scripted film, Maplethorpe, starring Matt Smith (which she also wrote, produced and edited) – which was released theatrically by Samuel Goldwyn on March 1st 2019 after winning eight Audience Awards and Best Narrative Feature at several festivals. Maplethorpe: The Director’s Cut will be released in Fall 2019. Ondi is currently completing an untitled feature documentary about the Opioid epidemic through the eyes of those on the front lines of recovery and producing/hosting WeTalk, a traveling talk show about the women shaping our culture – taking #MeToo to #WeDo. She is a member of the DGA, PGA, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
