Superstar Summer continues with a hard-hitting, skull-cracking showcase for one of the biggest female action stars in the world. Sure, she’s won an Oscar and is considered a really big deal but everyone slept on this movie, a big-budgeted sequel to another major motion picture, that came out right at the start of her career comeback. And I get it, I mean, the year she made this movie she starred in six flicks, two of which became bona fide classics, but this one should be counted in their number. A slick, contemporary crime film sporting a cast loaded with famous fighters, it’s one of those movies that starts its first action scene during the opening credits and just gets better from there.
