Brace yourself as a killer comet heads to Earth for a real DEEP IMPACT.

On a dark night, a scientist discovers a comet is hurling itself towards earth but dies in a car crash before he can alert the world. Fast forward a year…the U.S. government keeps the crisis under wraps but crack reporter Jenny Lerner (Tea Leoni) uncovers the truth which forces U.S. President Beck (Morgan Freeman) to announce his plan. That plan is to nuke it in space and, when that doesn’t work out, hide and pray. According to astronomers, Deep Impact is actually the more accurate of the two killer comet films released the same year (other is Armageddon, naturally) while, according to us, it’s scientifically proven fun.

Part of Nitehawk’s April WHEN NATURE ATTACKS brunch series.
