Bertrand Mandico is back with his special brand of genre film. In this period piece set in 1982, an actress named Eddie (Marion Cotillard) signs on for a strange science fiction production with Valentina (Noémie Merlant) her trusty makeup artist and friend in tow. The production is a haze of drugs and alcohol benders for Eddie and it becomes unclear what the boundaries between the film and real life are. Mandico graces us with another glittery and goopy feature that is as surreal as it is beautiful.
